LeBron James July 2014

Miami Heat star LeBron James is holding this year's NBA free agency period hostage alongside with Carmelo Anthony. It's not even certain that James returns to South Beach, and some are now even saying the chances of the King return to the Cleveland Cavaliers is very possible.

We have heard from sources everywhere, but "plugged-in" source tells NBA insider Chris Sheridan of SheridanHoops that there is a 90 percent chance that James will return to the Cavs. If that's true, James will announce it on his website.

A plugged-in source tells me there is a 90 percent chance that LeBron James will return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and it will be announced on www.lebronjames.com if it happens.

Sheridan says this is the same source that told him it was a 75 percent chance on Monday. It has increased by 15 percent today, but probably for good reason.

Today marks the four-year anniversary of James announcing he was taking his talents to South Beach during the infamous "Decision" broadcast on ESPN. I'm sure James has taken a look at the video sometime this offseason — maybe even today.

I don't doubt at all of James returning. I'm all for it — as a matter of fact, I wrote an article about why he should re-join the Cavs.

Sheridan also makes the same claim:

Remember this, folks: This comes down to LeBron building a legacy, which leads us to two points:

_There is nothing left for him to accomplish in Miami. He went there for four years, he went to the NBA Finals all four years, and he won two titles while learning what it takes to be a champion. Nobody can ever take that away from him.
_ A chance to return home as a successful, seasoned adult with a chance to deliver the city of Cleveland its first championship in any sport since 1964 is too much of a legacy opportunity for James to pass up.
_ And another thing: The best player he has a chance to team up with is named Kyrie Irving.

ESPN's Chris Broussard said not too long ago that he has the Cavs as his frontrunner for LeBron now. It seems that his own agent, Rich Paul, is hoping for a Cleveland reunion.

It all makes sense. To make some Cavs fans even more hopeful, ESPN Cleveland reporter Emmett Golden adds this:

We'll see what happens. Nothing is guaranteed.

But here's one thing for sure: keep LeBronJames.com bookmarked.
