The Los Angeles Lakers have yet to hire a new head coach, but they did so as they hoped that Carmelo Anthony or LeBron James would sign with them. Now it seems unlikely they will get either, but they will still have to hire a new coach nonetheless.
Kobe Bryant addressed the media today in a press conference, talking about various things. Bryant said he doesn't know if Melo will come to LA or not, saying he knows as much as we do.
However, Bryant did address the team's coaching vacancy. Bryant says he's a supporter of candidate Byron Scott, who played with Kobe during his first few years in the league.
Bryant wouldn't mind Scott being his head coach.

Scott, 53, last coached the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has long been labeled the frontrunner to be the team's head coach. Expect the Lakers to hire him once all the LeBron and Carmelo madness comes to a close.
