One of the most anticipated match-ups for the upcoming 2014-15 NBA season will be when the Cleveland Cavaliers face the Miami Heat. LeBron James faces his old team, where he meets with former teammates Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the NBA may be saving up this game for Christmas Day. The game will take place in South Beach.
Though the NBA's schedule will not be finalized and released until mid-August, an unofficial internal schedule of select games has Cleveland playing the Heat in Miami on Christmas on ABC, according to a person familiar with the situation.
The game likely would be played at either 2:30 or 5 p.m. that day, depending on what other game is selected for ABC that day.
ABC wants Heat-Cavaliers that day and the NBA is sensitive to ABC's wishes. James returned to the Cavaliers this offseason after spending four seasons with the Heat.
This is the game many are looking forward to, followed by a Cavaliers vs San Antonio Spurs game. The rumor is that a Cavs-Spurs game will go down on opening night of the NBA season.
