The Minnesota Timberwolves have been linked to the Chicago Bulls and Golden State Warriors in regards to trading for star power forward Kevin Love, but sources say the Cleveland Cavaliers are the only team seriously in contention.
According to Marc Stein and Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com, the Cavs remain the frontrunners for Love assuming they include No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins in the deal. Sources tell the worldwide leader that the T-Wolves were in serious trade talks with no other teams but the Cavs.
Sources also tell ESPN that the Bulls continue to become more and more pessimistic about their chances to acquire Love. In addition, the Warriors are still reportedly unwilling to let go of sharpshooting swingman Klay Thompson to include in the deal.
A Love-to-Cleveland deal is now looking more and more believable, and we may finally see a Big Three trio on the Cavs that consists of the star power forward, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.
ESPN reports that this Cavs-Timberwolves deal is now starting to look more as a "when" it will happen than a "if." Stay tuned for more info.
