The Houston Rockets are expecting a commitment soon from Chris Bosh, so with that they are trying to trade away Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik to clear enough cap space and make a deal work for the free agent power forward.
According to ESPN, the Rockets may have found a legit suitor for Lin as they could trade him to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers have a lot of cap space and are willing to take on Lin's contract, which will expire next season.
Lin could also play the starting point guard role for LA, and he may even end up being an upgrade. We'll just have to see how he handles Kobe Bryant, of course.
Houston hopes to trade Asik to the Pelicans and Lin somewhere by Sunday so they can sign Bosh as well as bringing back Chandler Parsons.
