NBA: Memphis Grizzlies at Dallas Mavericks

Shawn Marion is still on the NBA free agency market, and teams looking to add veteran and championship experience to their team could use a guy like him.

It's unlikely that Marion will return to the Dallas Mavericks at this point. After the team signed Richard Jefferson and Rashard Lewis, there might be any need for Marion on the team.

Marion, who's played 15 years in the league, is weighing all his options. He could retire as well, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He was asked if he is going to continue to play or not.

"I’m just weighing all my options with my son. He’s a big major part of me in my life right now," he said.

If Marion plans to return to the Mavs, he would have to take the veteran's minimum. He could sign elsewhere and make more money, and he could likely have a better chance of competing for championship if he bolted to a contender in the Eastern Conference.

According to ESPN, several teams are expected to make offers for Marion if he decides to continue playing. The Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Charlotte Hornets are reportedly interested in the 36-year-old's services.

The Bulls could create more depth with a guy like Marion. For Cleveland, they can add more championship experience to their squad with the likes of LeBron James, Mike Miller and maybe Ray Allen.

He could also do the same in OKC and play a key role off the bench. In Charlotte, he could be the target if the Hornets are unable to get Carlos Boozer, who they are reportedly interested in.

We'll see what Marion does pretty soon.
