USA may have lost to Belgium in the World Cup, being essentially eliminated, but Americans are proud of their amazing performance. President Barack Obama, for one, is very proud of what U.S. soccer did in this year's World Cup.
Obama called USA stars Tim Howard and Clint Dempsey, thanking them for their superb performances.
“I just wanted to call to say you guys did us proud. You guys did great, and as somebody whose first sport was soccer, although I was never that good, to see the way you guys captured the hearts and the imaginations of the whole country is unbelievable.”
