It was reported not too long ago that Under Armour offered Oklahoma City Thunder star small forward Kevin Durant a 10-year deal worth $285 million. Durant is giving Nike the right to match, and they now have a deadline of Wednesday to match.
According to Businessweek, KD gave Nike the deadline for tomorrow to match the massive offer. It is believed that this decision was influenced by Jay Z and Roc Nation Sports, the sports agency that Durant is with.
According to Sole Collector, this deadline hasn't been confirmed, but it would make sense since the story about KD possibly leaving the swoosh for UA has been an ongoing story for a while now this month.
If Nike does indeed decide to match the offer, Durant is theirs to keep. We'll just have to see what decision they make and if they're willing to fork over the insane amount of cash for one of the NBA's fastest-growing superstars.
