Rajon Rondo August 2014

Another day, another Rajon Rondo rumor. This time, the report is that the Boston Celtics star point guard wants to be traded.

Boston sports reporter Jackie MacMullan reported in a video on ESPN that Rondo reportedly "wants out." The comments were said on the ESPN television show "Around the Horn," and it was brought to attention and popularity via this MassLive.com article.

SB Nation has more details on the alleged Rondo report:

In her comments, MacMullan said that Rondo has indicated to Boston that he will not re-sign with the Celtics when his contract expires in 2015 and that he would not re-sign with the Kings, who happen to be the most obvious trade partner given their desire for a distributing and defending point guard and young assets. MacMullan also discusses Rondo's relationship with Doc Rivers.

MacMullan spent more than two decades at the Boston Globe, previously covered the NBA for Sports Illustrated, has written two books with Larry Bird and wrote one of the deepest stories on Rondo ever, on occasion of his torn ACL in January 2013.

It wouldn't be a surprise if Rondo wants out. He's been involved heavily in trade rumors ever since he took over as the leader and focal point of the team during the declines and departures of Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett on the squad.

Based of MacMullan's great credibility and experience, it definitely looks like a possibly we could see Rondo in a different uniform this year.
