Despite weaknesses at the quarterback position, the New York Jets decided to cut rookie QB Tajh Boyd during the NFL roster cuts on Saturday.
The team confirmed the news on their Twitter account:

Boyd was selected in the sixth round back in May's draft. He was star in college at Clemson, but has faced a big downturn since entering the NFL.
More than likely, some team will come calling due to Boyd's past college success and the growing amount of dual-threat quarterbacks coming into the NFL. Boyd also has tons of potential and could be used a long-term project on some team's practice squad.
