Many wondered if this Team USA squad could win it all after guys like Kevin Durant, Kevin Love and others dropped out, including the injury that happened to Paul George as well.
USA proved everybody wrong and basically cruised throughout this entire tournament that was the 2014 FIBA World Cup. USA dominated in every matchup, and showed no different in the Final versus Serbia.
USA won, 129-92, to capture the gold.
Kyrie Irving led the way for USA Basketball, having 26 points. Irving was hot from beyond-the-arc, shooting 100 percent from 3-point range on six attempts. James Harden added 23 points, while Kenneth Faried had 12 points. Klay Thompson added 12 off the bench.
Here is the full shot chart for Team USA:
USA was just flat-out not to be messed with throughout this entire tournament. No team stood a chance, and this squad here is considered the "C" or "D" team when it comes to the overall talent USA Basketball has.
Per Sportando, two USA players in Irving and Faried made the overall All Star starting five for the entire tournament:

Congrats to USA on capturing gold! Hopefully this is just a small glimpse of what's to come for the 2016 Olympics when the better players come on board for that roster.
