Rob Gronkowski September 2014

Don't worry New England Patriots fans, the Gronk is back.

Rob Gronkowski welcomed reporters on Monday to break the news that he will be ready to play for the Patriots' Week 1 regular season opener against the Miami Dolphins.

"I'm good to go. I'll be playing," he said, via ESPN.

Gronkowski has been recovering from a torn ACL injury that he suffered last season. He underwent surgery for it on January 9 and returned to doing full-team drills with the Pats mid-August.

"Super excited, super pumped. I feel mentally and physically ready, for sure. No doubt about it," he said. "My mentality now is I'm ready to go, I'm ready to be out there, I'm ready to hit, I'm ready to start going."

Gronkowski, 25, had 39 catches for 592 yards and four touchdowns in seven games last season.
