It's hard to defend Geno Smith when he does things like this.
Facing 3rd-and-14 deep in their own territory, the New York Jets still had a chance to at least tie things up with the Denver Broncos down by a touchdown.
But, of course, Geno Smith did this:

That play ultimately ended the game, giving the Broncos a 31-17 win. Denver improves to 4-1 while New York drops to a startling 1-5 on the season.
Smith, for his part, did throw two touchdowns, but he also had a 70.9 QB rating as well. Free Mike Vick?
