Kobe Bryant was in the news for negative reasons recently when a report came out that no one came to the Los Angeles Lakers because they don't want to play with the veteran shooting guard (
story here).
Lakers president Jeannie Buss responded to hate regarding the team's franchise player, saying that anyone that is afraid to play with the Black Mamba is a "loser."
"Any free agent that would be afraid to play with Kobe Bryant is probably a loser, and I'm glad they wouldn't come to the team," Buss said during a "SportsCenter" interview Thursday,
via ESPN.
Buss says she read the report regarding Kobe, but she doesn't believe any of it.
"I read the story," Buss said Thursday. "I don't agree with any of it. If there is somebody that's on our payroll who is saying things like that, I'll soon get to the bottom of it, and they won't be working for us anymore."
Buss adds that she has no doubt Kobe "will make people regret ever saying those comments."
We'll see if Bryant, 36, will make people pay this year.
