There's no question that Cleveland Cavaliers star small forward LeBron James is already one of the best NBA players of all time.
James is arguably the greatest small forward of all time versus Larry Bird, future Hall of Famer and a living legend. He's only 30 years old, but he already makes the case for being a top 10-15 player all time. I myself would go as far to say he's at top 7 or top 5 status right now.
Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle agrees, pegging the four-time MVP as one of the top 5 NBA players of all time right now.
“He could end up being the very best, we’ll just have to see,” Carlisle said, per ESPN. “A lot of that’s yet to be written. He’s top five [all time] for sure, if you’re asking my opinion.”
When it's all said and done, I would not be shocked if James ends up being a top-2 player or even the GOAT when retiring.
