Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is slowly making his return back to the gridiron after suffering an ankle injury during Week 2 of the 2014 NFL season.
The Redskins have been struggling since then, as Kirk Cousins keeps throwing interceptions. The team is now down to relying on third-string QB Colt McCoy to lead the team right now.
As fans patiently wait for the return of RG3, the team will have to see how their squad does on Monday night versus the Dallas Cowboys. There's virtually no chance RG3 will play, and it's more than likely he will come back on Week 11 after the 'Skins have their bye week in Week 10.
Redskins head coach Jay Gruden spoke of the matter recently.
“I would think — I would guarantee Tampa, most likely, unless something happens between now and then,” Gruden said,
per the Washington Post. “You’ve got a good bye week, you’ve got a couple weeks to make sure it’s ready. Obviously Robert is a quick healer. He works extremely hard in the training room. So the process could be sped up a little bit depending on how he feels."
Expect a return for Griffin in Week 9 or Week 11. Hopefully the return can start generating wins and confidence for the Redskins and its fans.
