The Houston Rockets face off against the Los Angeles Lakers tonight for the NBA season opener, and many are looking forward to matchup of Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant.
Both players, of course, were teammates not too long ago back in the 2012-13 season. Howard, though, left the following offseason to sign with the Rockets, teaming up with James Harden.
Since then, Houston has turned into a playoff team while the Lakers are a middle-of-the-road squad in between becoming a lottery or lower-seeded playoff squad.
While many are expecting big things from Howard this season since he's fully recovered from his back injury, Lakers fans will continue to hope for the worst. Heck, even the Lakers head coach
was saying things about D12.
Howard cleared the noise before Tuesday night's game, saying he didn't leave the Lakers because he was afraid of Kobe.

Tonight's game will have several storylines. Will Kobe return to form? How will Jeremy Lin do against his old team, the Rockets? Can Byron Scott win his first game as LA's head coach tonight?
Looking forward to the game.
