Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose
suffered an ankle sprain injury during Friday night's marquee matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Rose had to leave the game, watching his Bulls lose in overtime as LeBron James took over.
Rose tried not to make a big deal out of the injury,
saying it was just an ankle sprain and that he will be fine. However, for his part, Rose did take notice of the obvious injury woes he has dealt with.
Rose acknowledged "the gods" when discussing his injuries.
“
I guess it’s part of the process,” he said. “Of course the gods are testing me right now, but it’s fine. I think I’ll be able to get through it.”
“It’s basketball,” Rose said. “It ain’t like I tore something, or tore a ligament or something. It’s just that I sprained my ankle and I had to sit out. It’s minor, and I’ll try to give it a go [Saturday].”
