Oklahoma City Thunder star point guard Russell Westbrook underwent successful surgery for his broken hand, and he will be out for at least a month.
The Thunder's Twitter account confirmed the news:

Westbrook will be re-evaluated in four weeks. He has been projected to return in four-to-six weeks.
Westbrook suffered the injury during the first half of a game versus the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday. For season-opener on Wednesday, he dropped 38 points and six assists in a loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
We'll see how well OKC can do during the time both Westbrook and Kevin Durant are out, including guys like Reggie Jackson and Jeremy Lamb as well. Expect to see big things from the likes of Perry Jones while everyone is out.
