Now that Wild Card Weekend is over, the NFL Playoffs are officially underway and arguably the best weekend of football is upon us.
The Divisional Playoffs pit the best eight teams in the NFL against each other to decide which team will play in the Conference Championship game.
In the AFC, the Baltimore Ravens will play the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots, as always, played exceptionally well at home this year. However, the Ravens have a history of beating the Patriots as the away team in the playoffs.
In the 2012 playoffs, the Ravens defeated the Patriots 28-13 in the Conference Championship game. In the 2010 playoffs, the Ravens won 33-14 in the Wild Card round in New England.
The only other playoff meeting between the two franchises was in the 2011 playoffs, when the Patriots had a fourth quarter comeback to win 23-20 in New England.
While the past games certainly won't impact this weekend's game, Baltimore will have confidence they can beat New England. This is the first meeting between the two squads this season.
NFL fans are shelling out the cash to see this matchup, as Ravens vs Patriots tickets on TiqIQ are the most expensive Divisional playoff game this weekend at $346.49 on the secondary ticket market. However, the get-in price is the second least expensive at $130.
The other AFC matchup is between the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos. The battle of the horses will take place in Denver and is the third playoff matchup ever between the two franchises.
Both games, taking place in the 2003 and 2004 playoffs, were Colts wins in the Wild Card round. Of course, Peyton Manning was actually playing for the Colts back in those days.
These two teams met this season already, all the way back in Week 1. Denver got off to a quick 24-0 lead and was able to hold off a second half comeback from the Colts to win, 34-24.
Despite the expected great game, the tickets on the secondary market are the cheapest of the four Divisional playoff games at $270.13 on average. The get-in price is also the least expensive at $100.
The Carolina Panthers will battle the Seattle Seahawks in the Saturday night matchup in the Divisional Playoffs.
These teams met up earlier this season in a defensive battle that was won by Seattle as Russell Wilson led the Seahawks to a fourth quarter comeback to win, 13-9.
The only other matchup between two teams in the playoffs came in the 2005 playoffs, when the Seahawks beat the Panthers in the Conference Championship, 34-14, in Seattle.
Cam Newton will have his hands full in Seattle as he plays against the best pass defense team in the NFL. Saturday's game is the second most expensive Divisional playoff game on the secondary ticket market at $311.21 on average while the get-in price is the most expensive at $153.
On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys will head to legendary Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers.
The history between Green Bay and Dallas in the playoffs goes all the way back to 1966, the first ever NFC Championship game. Green Bay went on to win the first ever Super Bowl.
Sunday is the seventh meeting between two franchises in playoff history, with the Cowboys leading 4-2 and it'll be the first meeting this season.
Fans can expect to pay $283.14 on average for Cowboys vs Packers tickets on the secondary ticket market while the get-in price is just $135.
The winner of these game will just be a game away from representing its conference in the Super Bowl. Currently, the secondary market average price for Super Bowl tickets on TiqIQ is $3370.23, almost exactly the average price of last year’s Super Bowl.
