Is Joe Flacco the best quarterback in the NFL? Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh thinks so.
Following the Ravens' big playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, Harbaugh said Flacco is "the best quarterback in the football."
"
Joe Flacco, what can you say," Harbaugh said. "He's the best quarterback in football. We'll take him any day of the week, twice on Sunday or Saturday if that be the case."
Flacco went 18-of-29 for 259 yard with two touchdowns and no interceptions — good enough for a 114.0 QB rating — in the Ravens' 30-17 Wild Card playoff win versus Pittsburgh.
Flacco has never been a flashy guy on the stat sheet when it comes to the regular season. He's never thrown for 4,000 yards or been voted to a Pro Bowl. However, he's always able to deliver in the playoffs (or, erm, his defense).
Whatever you want to say about Flacco, he has been on fire in his past five postseason games leading all the way back to the team's Super Bowl run two years ago. In the last five playoff games, he has had 13 touchdowns ... no picks.
"He's Cool Joe," linebacker Terrell Suggs said. "The situation may change, but we don't. Joe didn't change. That's his game. He's going to make plays."
