Things, though slow, are coming along for the boxing fight of the century to happen between pound-for-pound kings Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
Though Mayweather has refuted the report that both sides agreed to a $250 million contract, it's just smoke signals. Pacquiao's camp says they're just waiting on Money Mayweather to make the announcement.
However, with all that has gone in within the boxing world lately, all signs point to Mayweather making the announcement sometime this week.

This is a combination of insider info, public knowledge and common sense. Let’s start with the public knowledge. A few things have happened in the last 48 hours that makes it seem like Mayweather vs. Pacquiao will be announced this week.
The biggest one was Al Haymon’s television deal with Showtime & CBS. Haymon is Mayweather’s adviser, Mayweather is with Showtime and CBS has been pushing for the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight. It makes sense as part of that deal they were told the fight will be done. Even in the press release while not specifically saying Pacquiao, they noted Mayweather will be in a big event May 2nd and I don’t think they meant Amir Khan.
Top Rank has secured a May 1st date in Vegas to do a show. Routinely the promoter who has a fighter fighting on that Saturday, secures a show for that Friday. All the Mayweather and Pacquiao fights have followed that trend for years. The MGM has secured May 2nd for a Mayweather fight and the hotel prices are through the roof.
It is my understanding that Mayweather has finally agreed to everything (that can always change) and just some minor things need to be worked out, but it will be announced soon.
Common sense tells you that if Mayweather backs out now he will never live it down, he has backed himself into a corner with his meetings with Pacquiao, so even if he wanted to back out, I think it is too late.
Once again make sure you buy refundable tickets because until the deal is signed and announced by Mayweather there is no deal.
