Ndamukong Suh will be one of the top NFL free agents of the 2015 class this offseason, and many are wondering where the star defensive tackle will land. To many people's surprise, the Detroit Lions could be the favorites to keep him.
The Lions have made it their sole priority to keep Suh, who is seeking a $100 million contract similar to Houston Texans star JJ Watt. While it would be tough for Detroit to make such a deal happen, they say they have received positive vibes about Suh staying with the team.
One problem with this aspect, however, is how the Lions can keep Calvin Johnson? If Suh is the top priority and they give him the contract that he wants, will they be able to retain Johnson? Is keeping Suh worth more than losing Megatron?
The Lions believe they can keep both star players on the roster, but we'll have to see. They have enough salary cap space to do so, and it just takes some restructuring of contracts to make it happen.
Johnson said it himself during the NFL Honors on Saturday night that he will do whatever he has to in order for the Lions to keep Suh.
This NFL offseason is going to be one interesting on for Detroit.
