The Denver Broncos were primed for a Super Bowl run this past season, but were upset by the Indianapolis Colts in the Divisional round of the NFL Playoffs.
Now with a new coaching staff, Denver will be entering with a new mindset for the 2015 season. Broncos star wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders sees next year as a "Super Bowl or bust" situation.
Sanders received the message loud and clear from head coach Gary Kubiak in a meeting today, indicating the team's Super Bowl aspirations they've kept for the past several years.
"The message was definitely world championship from the start," Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders said Monday. "That's what [executive vice president of football operations/general manager John] Elway wants. The focus is bringing a world championship to this city.
"We want to get back there and we want to win it. The main focus of this group is to win a Super Bowl. That's the expectation. If we don't bring a Super Bowl to this city this year, then it's a bust season."
It's honestly been Super Bowl or bust every year since Peyton Manning joined the team. They did it make it last year, but were blown out by the Seattle Seahawks.
I, for one, hope the Broncos end up getting it done. I would like to see No. 18 walk out the NFL as a champion.
