A day that began with so much promise for Tiger Woods ended with more pain Sunday, this time a wrist injury that occurred when he caught a tree root with an iron shot on the ninth hole at the Masters.
The extent of the problem with Woods' right wrist was unclear as he played the back nine at Augusta National, where he started the final round 10 strokes behind Jordan Spieth but was unable to make a move. He did make an eagle at the 13th hole, where he hit his first fairway of the day.
After the round, Woods told CBS that a bone had popped out in his wrist and that he put it back in.
He shot a 1-over 73 on Sunday to finish at 5 under in 17th place.
