On the heels of its loss in the national championship game to Duke, Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan did not mince words when asked about the game’s officiating.
“It’s just a shame that it had to be played that way,” Ryan told CBS’ Tracy Wolfson in the post game interview.
Ryan was not pleased with the way that the second half was called, as the Badgers — who are among the least-fouling teams in the country, averaging just 12.5 per game — were whistled for 15 fouls.
“I just feel sorry for my guys that all of a sudden it was like that,” Ryan said of the sudden physical tone of the game.
