After losing to the Atlanta Hawks in the second round of the 2015 playoffs, Pierce has a huge decision. He could retire, pick up his option with the Washington Wizards or he could opt out and go elsewhere to play one more season.
According to David Aldridge of NBA.com. Pierce might chose the latter
"The Wizards could stand pat if Pierce decides to return to D.C. next season rather than opt out of his deal, but many around the league believe Pierce will do just that and finish his career back home in Los Angeles with the Clippers."
Wizards coach Randy Wittman was asked about Pierce's options recently, and he wants "The Truth" back in Washington.
“I’d love him back. I think he wants to be back. I don’t know, I won’t put words in his mouth, but I’d be surprised if he didn’t,”
