Monday was a crazy day for Sean "Diddy" Combs, who was involved in a fight with UCLA Bruins football strength coach Sal Alosi regarding his son, Justin.
Alosi, a former NFL assistant coach most known for tripping a player during a game, was involved in a fight with Diddy. The rapper reportedly used a kettlebell.
But what exactly happened, which led to Diddy's arrest?
Here's the whole story, with conflicting reports, per BSO:
The short version is that Justin Combs, Diddy’s son has missed workouts and was slacking on a morning workout when Alosi cursed him out and told him not to come back. Justin is redshirting his junior year at UCLA.
At some point in the afternoon Diddy and Justin came back to UCLA where Diddy immediately went to Alosi’s office. Diddy was hot about whatever Justin said happened and Alosi in turn decided to call campus security. Diddy said he would call campus security himself.
At this point this is where the stories differ a bit. BruinReportOnline says that Alosi put his hand up in an “non-threatening way” and Diddy “walked into his hand”.
My sources say that when Diddy when to grab the desk phone to call security, Alosi pushed him away and then Diddy beat him up. Also, I have been told that Alosi tirade was beyond your normal coach yelling at player who is slacking, but until we know exactly what was said, it is hard to say was it bad enough for Justin to run to his father.
From what I hear and what has been confirmed by Bruinreportonline, Diddy beat up Alosi pretty good. Eventually, they were able to get Diddy off him and that is where the kettlebell comes into play. Alosi’s office is in the gym, so when they got Diddy out of the office, he happened to grab the first thing he saw which was a kettlebell weight.
There is some dispute if Diddy actually meant to hit anyone with it or just threw/swung it in their direction.
There is video of the incident and if that is released that should clear up any conflicting reports, but this is what we know so far.
