After much question on whether he is worth a max contract, Kawhi Leonard will in fact be receiving just that from the San Antonio Spurs.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Leonard has signed a five-year max contract extension with the Spurs worth in excess of $90 million.
"I have every intention of signing with the San Antonio Spurs," Leonard said in a statement. "There are details in the contract which need to be worked out with the organization. I am confident that this will be accomplished."
Up next for the Spurs is to add LaMarcus Aldridge in the 2015 NBA Free Agency period.
