Even though the Sacramento Kings have said they will not trade star big man DeMarcus Cousins, it looks like the Los Angeles Lakers are actively trying to change their minds.
According to ESPN, the Lakers are actively trying to acquire Cousins via trade.
Sources say that the Lakers, Kings and Orlando Magic have had exploratory dialogue on a three-way Cousins trade that would land the 24-year-old in Los Angeles. All three teams hold top-six picks in Thursday's NBA draft, and Orlando has a young top-flight center of its own in Nikola Vucevic, who could theoretically fill the Cousins void.
Vlade Divac doesn't plan to let Cousins go, despite the intriguing pieces they could be offered. We'll see if this scenario gets hotter as the NBA Draft comes closer.
