This is crazy.

Former NFL wide receiver Bernard Berrian had the misfortune of having his home burglarized several times. The pain was worsened when he learned that it was a former college teammate robbing him.

Berrian told KFSN-TV Action News reporter Sontaya Rose, that he installed a security camera in his home after a pair of unsolved burglaries in his Fresno area home during early April.

Berrian’s story of catching his friend is creepy and sad at the same time.

“I actually watched him doing it while he was doing it,” said Berrian. “I could have actually spoke to him, I got a microphone on there. I could have told him, I got you, while he was doing it.

“I was like, wow, he is a real professional, he takes a spray bottle with him to wipe off fingerprints and a towel.

"It was crazy because we were all sitting around and he actually left from where we were at to go do it. Boom, motion sensor went off, I get an email, so I click on the live cam.

“He would always call me and try to ask me where I was, make sure I was out of town. If I was home all the time, he’d blow up other friends in the crew asking them the same question, where’s Bernard, how come he’s not answering his phone.”

Berrian estimated his fontenot stole at least $30,000 cash. Per KFSN-TV, Fontenot recently pleaded no contest to the charges and is serving a six-month jail sentence.
