A 23-year-old garbage man admitted in court to drugging his girlfriend so that he could play video games with his friend without any distraction.
The German man was convicted of the assault this week for the drugging, confessing to only slipping something in her tea.
“I only put four or five drops into her tea,” the man told the judge, according to German newspaper WAZ.
The women allegedly fell asleep at 10 p.m. on the night of the drugging, and spent the next 24 hours woozy at the wheel of her car and at work.
She told the court that she also kept nodding off on her drive to work when she finally woke up.
“Your girlfriend slept long and deeply, which didn’t harm her, but this is certainly premeditated bodily harm,” the judge told the man.
The man blamed his behavior on a drug problem, but says he’s clean now.
