USA Women's Soccer's Hope Solo Wants Equal Pay for Female Athletes

I'll save the jokes for later in this article, but Hope Solo just tweeted something interesting today on Twitter.

The USA women's soccer goalie was a huge part of the team's run to the FIFA World Cup Final. She helped USA defeat Japan, 5-2, to become champions. She won the Golden Glove award for her performance throughout the tournament.

Solo tweeted this out today, saying she agrees with the notion that female athletes should be getting paid equal as men do:

While I do agree with this, there is a lot irony. I'll let you decide why that is. Better yet, let this article tell you.
