What looked at first like a joke injury for New York Giants star defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has now turned pretty serious.
It was reported on Sunday that JPP injured his hand during a fireworks accident on the Fourth of July on Saturday. Pierre-Paul had flesh burned from his hand, and it was considered a severe injury.
However, it looked he would be fine once he would heal, but it looks like it is much more worse than that.
The guy who first reported the news, Andy Slater, says the Giants star could end up having his hand amputated:
Yet, there are conflicting reports regarding this whole matter, though. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter contradicts Slater's report, tweeting out that the injury is not career-threatening.
We'll find out more once more news comes out. Wishing for the best for JPP. Hate for his career to end like this if Slater's report is true.
