This should be an interesting training camp for the Los Angeles Lakers.
D’Angelo Russell seems to be the future for the Lakers, yet he’ll have to wait for approval from one of the greatest of all time.
While appearing on SiriusXM, Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak made it clear that Russell, Jordan Clarkson and Julius Randle will have to prove themselves to Kobe Bryant.
.@Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak said that the young players and rookies will have to show @kobebryant in training camp that they belong.

Bryant wants to prove he’s still elite, yet the Lakers will be best served allowing the young guys to take the reins ... if they’re ready. They can’t be the future without first taking control of the present.
Last season, Bryant was still leading the Lakers in total field-goal attempts, and that number has to come down.
