Kirk Nieuwenhuis was called up to the MLB and New York Mets on Monday, having had a total of three home runs in the past two seasons.
During Sunday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Nieuwenhuis made history by hitting three homers on his first three at-bats.
Two of his homers came against starting Diamondbacks pitcher Rubby De La Rosa:

Randall Delgado came in to pitch on the fifth inning, but Nieuwenhuis still delivered:
Nieuwenhuis became the 10th player to have a three-home run day in Mets history, but the first to do it in a home game. He had a chance for a fourth in the seventh inning, but struck out.
Still an epic day for him nonetheless.
