Washington Nationals star Bryce Harper got voted into the 2015 MLB All-Star Game, and he also got his second career invite to participate in the Home Run Derby.

However, this time Harper says he will not play. His father not being there is a big reason, he says.

"Not having my dad throwing to me is a big issue for me," Harper said, via ESPN.

Harper adds that his father knows where his "sweet spot" is.

In 2013, Harper had his father, Ron, pitch to him. He ended up finishing in second place in that derby to Yoenis Cespedes. Harper's dad was unable to participate this year due to having surgery recently from a snowboarding accident.

Harper is currently tied for second in the MLB with 25 home runs.
