With all the marquee free agents of the 2015 NBA Free Agency period now signing with their teams — such as LaMarcus Aldridge going to the San Antonio Spurs and DeAndre Jordan heading to the Dallas Mavericks — the focus now shifts towards 2016 and the Kevin Durant sweepstakes.
Unless the Oklahoma City Thunder win it all next year, Durant is likely going to test the market. His latest comments about Aldridge and LeBron James the past few years have echoed sentiments that he's not afraid to leave OKC.
Many are predicting Durant will go to the Washington Wizards in 2016 free agent, but other teams will also be in the hunt. Of course, we will have the Los Angeles Lakers. The Brooklyn Nets have been linked for awhile.
Now, the Golden State Warriors appear to be on KD's list.
Yes, they are on the short list of teams," USA Today's Sam Amick says.
We are probably going to hear a ton of these stories for the next year until 2016 free agency begins. Brace yourselves, NBA fans.
