Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press first reported on Johnson’s injury and need for surgery, but indicated that the young guard will be okay.
Heat guard Tyler Johnson will have surgery this afternoon to repair a broken jaw. Source tells AP "he will be OK ... thank God."
Johnson is battling Shabazz Napier for more playing time in the Heat backcourt next season after averaging 18.8 minutes per game as a rookie.
