In what could be described as a Friday afternoon bombshell, the New Orleans Saints are releasing pass rusher Junior Galette.

Galette’s release comes less than one year after he signed a lucrative contract extension that saw him net $18 million in the past calendar year alone.
Recently, a video emerged last month showing Galette striking a woman with a belt during a brawl in 2013.
