Burress could be looking at some more jail time, according to various reports.
Per Kevin Shea of NJ.com, Burress was offered a deal that would put him on probation for five years and behind bars for one year.
His prior criminal record prevents the likelihood that he would only receive probation.
Burress pleaded guilty to a weapons charge back in 2009, and spent two years in prison after he accidentally shot himself at a Manhattan night club in 2008.
Burress is being prosecuted under a new law in New Jersey that equates a failed electronic funds transfer to a bad check.
