Stephen Jackson is retiring from the NBA.
The 37-year-old Jackson averaged 15.1 points per game while playing for the New Jersey Nets, San Antonio Spurs, Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Bobcats, Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Clippers during his 14-year NBA career.
He won his lone championship ring with the Spurs in 2003.
Jackson was suspended for 30 games and charged with one count of misdemeanor assault and battery for his part in the “Malice in the Palace” brawl in the stands during a Pacers-Pistons game during the 2004 season.
