NFL commissioner Roger Goodell told CNBC on Thursday that a decision on the appeal of New England quarterback Tom Brady’s suspension after the DeflateGate scandal will come soon, possibly as early as next week.

"NFL commissioner Roger Goodell tells CNBC at Sun Valley that a Tom Brady/deflate-gate decision is coming very soon & could be next week," CNBC reports.

Goodell was speaking from the annual Allen & Company tech and media finance conference in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Brady’s appeal was heard on June 23, yet he’ll likely have a resolution in place before Greg Hardy, who had his appeal heard on May 28.
