Geno Smith appears ready to move on from his altercation with IK Enemkpali, and will not file charges criminal charges against the Bills linebacker for breaking his jaw in dispute over $600 in airfare.
Per Metro, “The source indicated to Metro that Smith is unlikely to pursue charges at this time and likely won’t. It is unclear if the reason for the Jets quarterback not filing on the incident has anything to do with his perceived role in the fight or rather his willingness to let the incident simmer down.”
In a league where image matters on and off the field, pursuing Enemkpali in the court of law wouldn’t be a good look for a quarterback likely to be seeking employment elsewhere next season.
