At first you’d think Kevin Durant is just another of the growing legion of people who believe the NBA preseason isn’t necessary, but he definitely makes a valid point about joint NFL practices possibly eliminating the need for four or any preseason football games at all.
Here's what he said on Twitter:
With the joint practices in the NFL, is there any need for preseason games?

The NFL preseason allows for a four-week buildup to the regular season.
.However, with joint practices going on around the league, it is possible that the training camps could start a week or two later before teams embark on a three-week training camp period that includes joint practices once a week leading up to the NFL kickoff game.
