Ray Allen isn’t officially retired, but he doesn’t sound like a man keen on the idea of returning the NBA grind.
“I didn’t miss it,” Allen said. “I realized how much time I missed not being home with my kids. I probably missed it in the Finals. Watching Cleveland and Golden State play, it just seemed like an epic battle that required a lot of precision on the floor and that’s when I felt, that was probably the only time that I felt like, ‘Man, I should have been out there.'”
Allen sat out the 2014-15 NBA season overtures from every contending NBA team. Allen also said that he’d continue playing for the right deal.
Allen last played for the Miami Heat in during the 2013-14 NBA season, averaging 9.6 points and 2.8 rebounds on 44.2 percent shooting.
