Leave it to the NCAA to take all the fun out of everything.
If you’ve been watching your TV over the past few months, it’s highly unlikely that you haven’t seen a DraftKings or FanDuel ad spot running repetitively.
If you’re a college athlete you may want to avoid those sites, because a simple daily bet could end or suspend your college eligibility.
According to NCAA vice president of regulatory affairs Oliver Luck, getting caught using either one of them for college sports could will cost you a year of eligibility:

… any athlete found to be gambling on college sports (includes daily fantasy such as Draft Kings) automatically loses a year of eligibility.

Its ironic considering a ton of the commercials are ran during college games, with announcers having no problem breaking down the gambling odds of their game.
