Brandon Jennings thought he’d be back from Achilles surgery within nine months, but that won’t be the case.
Pistons president/coach Stan Van Gundy, via Detroit Sports 105.1, said that the likely backup point guard won’t return until December.
"Don’t know where Brandon is going to be health-wise. Right now, he’s still recovering. We’re probably looking at mid- to late-December to have him back."
Jennings was having one of the better seasons of his career before he got hurt, and then the Pistons traded for Reggie Jackson and made him the lead dog with a five-year contract.
Jennings is in the final year of his contract and will likely be traded if he can show something before the deadline.
