In Reggie Wayne’s defense, playing the sport you love is supposed to be fun. The former Indianapolis Colts all-time great asked for his release from the Patriots, in part because New England has no fun.
Former NFL player Scott Zolak, who works on the team’s radio broadcasts, reports that Wayne asked to be released because the “work environment was tough" and because the situation was “not fun.”

That can be interpreted in several different ways, but it appears that The Patriot Way just wasn’t for Wayne.
