Brandon Marshall loves to prop up his teammates, but it’s actually a shame that the Jets wide receiver had to even sing the praises of running back Chris Ivory.
After finally getting the opportunity to be the man, running back Chris Ivory is having the best start of his career. He’s gained 314 yards and three touchdowns, with an average five yards per carry, the best in the league.
Marshall went further, calling Ivory the best running back in the NFL.
“He’s already the best running back in the league right now,” teammate Brandon Marshall said of Ivory Wednesday per Seth Walder of the New York Daily News.
“I just watch the tape. Speed. Quickness. Agility. Vision. Endurance. He has it all.” “Chris Ivory is a monster. He runs really violently. He has great feet, great vision.”
Marshall said that before the season started, Ivory didn’t even have his sights set all that high.
“I remember having a conversation when I first got here with him,” Marshall said. “And (he said), ‘I want to have 1,000 yards, trying to get there.’ I said ‘What?’ I said, ‘No, our goal is going to be 1,500 or better.’
